Making it work- great chill day!

I am quite proud of myself today, in that I was able to slow down and really change my mood and have a great day! I was up early and felt really off. I made an effort to smile at people and talk to them. I talked to the awesome ex-military security @ the gym (it's in a corporate oil and gas firm building) and my favorite trainer (who quit) was there this morning! I did 55min watching Will and Grace reruns, Flavor Wave Oven Turbo infomercials as well as zoning out and de-stressing. After I took my time enjoying the gorgeous sun and weather! Hello Vitamin D withdrawal- How I've missed you!
I ate an unpictured EGG CAKE, radishes, mushrooms, celery, and a killer Cookie Dough/Batter/Protein Sludge made with
Pro Performance Elite Whey Isoburst French Vanilla Protein

Sweet and low.

I also had my Tropical Cucumber! 1 huge cucumber, sugar free drink mix (I used the tropical pineapple president's choice brand), lemon juice, sweetener, jello!

I got ready and headed out with my 'weekend' friend. First stop was Whole Sale Superstore for radishes. FAIL again- spores, moldy..... always the case. Have to hit up the other store tomorrow!
I DID get another HUGE Sunspun Yellow Mustard and a 10 pack of Juicy Fruit Pineapple Orange gum.
We decided to be immature and get the huge cart for out mini purchase:

Next we hit up our Superstore and I ended up getting 6 Dole Chopped Romaine 907g bags,
6 350gram cauliflower cut bags, ANOTHER 12 packs of gum, 2 Walden Farms Strawberry jams, 2 French's Bold'n'spicy mustard's, 1 PC gourmet whole grain mustard, 30 cans of cut wax beans (15 yellow, 15 asparagus style green), 3 Litre Salsa, light bulbs etc.
We made a quick pit stop at the place I pick up the PGX granules to grab an extra, and my friend ran to the used book store and bought me the first Chicken Soup for the Soul book (sentimental value) I read as a surprise!

Last stop was COSTCO! Celery, samples, mushrooms, and ANOTHER huge French's Mustard, a new HUGE organic spice blend bottle, 3 pack of Nature's Best Egg Whites,  a 24 pack of Talking Rain beverages and as a surprise the gorgeous ITALIAN OPERA CD SET I've been lusting over!

My interesting way of getting this into the apartment (I had 2 HUGE reusable grocery bags ON EACH shoulder totalling 4 bags packed with the romaine, cauliflower, etc).

Imagine this times 2. The bottom was crammed with cans of the green beans, salsa, mustard's, gum etc.

Mother's Day Recap (aka Mutant tomatoes on STEROIDS take 2)

I think I'm going to make this post more visual. Sunday went well (Superstore exchange was a FAIL- 3 locations had NO 4count bags of the Red Bell Peppers I was exchanging- they were so moldy it was dripping!) so I got my money instead. Wholesale Superstore was also a fail- the 2 boxes of radishes they had were molding. We called the other location and headed over later in the day. I did however get a HUGE SUNSPUN 'AS BIG AS MY HEAD' YELLOW MUSTARD:

I also got mini speakers  for my lap top so I can listen to my 'Personal Improvement' audio and actually HEAR what the person is saying. I got these for super cheap from Memory Express!

I did get the new Jackie Warner Book @ Superstore!

As we tooled the store I spotted what I refer to as 'The World's Most Useless Invention" aka Wire Toaster hooks. Seriously??!!

Safeway was a success. The floral department (as expected) was BUSY! It had started to rain lightly just as we arrived!

I picked up 2 cans of Gold Seal Smoked Light Tuna in Water, celery, green onions, more MUSHROOMS ( 1.475kg worth!) Tomatoes, 7 red bell peppers, Safeway Brand Diet Ginger ale and another 12pack sleeve of Crystal Light!

Next stop (as always) was Community Natural Foods for MUSTARD!!!

I finally took a better picture for you guys- so you can see my AMAZING mustard!
This is the Life Source Stoneground mustard! Note how it is the LAST ONE!? It's that good!
It's the Organic Wheat/Gluten Free Stoneground Prepared Mustard! TO DIE FOR!

Here is the other one I got:

I also got SO 'BLOGGER' excited when I saw these! They've had them for awhile, but it's just funny seeing something after you've been seeing them on EVERY ONE'S blog (love this girl!)!!!
I also had a little moment of pride when I saw these (I got them brought into the city and store!)
I got 3 Zevia's. Twist (lemon lime),Ginger ale and another Ginger Root beer!

Last stop was meant to be the Korean Market for myKikkoman Low Sodium Soy Sauce big bottle. It's the ONLY place I've been able to find that one in a larger bottle! They have huge bottles of regular Soy Sauce everywhere, but only sell the low sodium one in the small 300ml bottle!
Needless to say... THEY WERE OUT! So we headed to Co-op and grabbed 2 TINY bottles for $3.79 EACH! FYI the low sodium one is always more expensive! I think it should be LESS expensive as technically I am saving them $ and sodium! It contains less! It's like BEER vs DeAlcoholized Beer! Yes? Unless it's Low Carb Beer...and then that is just more expensive! Point being, the Korean Market sells the bigger one for $5.19.
While at Co-op we also checked out their produce. They truly have the BEST produce there! Which is why they charge such outrageous prices! They restocked theBroccoli Flower! This picture does not do it justice (in terms of its bright almost neon shade of green)

I tried to put it by the celery to illustrate it's inherent 'Greenness' but my cell phone and lighting messed it up!
I also had to check to see if they still had the Steroid Enhanced MUTANT TOMATOES I mentioned in this post.
Well....they DID!

As if this is Natural!

Got home, made dinner, attempted to cram all food into fridge (FAIL) and watched Dateline,60 Minutes, Celebrity Apprentice, Shear Genius, Joy Behar show, GOSSIP Girl, and Sober House simultaneously!

Heavy day and Cookie Batter with Egg cake

Wow- this morning started heavy! Mother's Day is so hard for me. I am 'estranged' from my mom, and our relationship has always been strained. I have let it estrange me and my dad now too. I am constantly looking for a mother figure- someone to relate and bond with. I know NOW that her anger, aloofness, cold demeanor and controlling invasive behaviour were a mask for her own anxieties, insecurities, fears, hurts etc. I YEARN for her so much. She never tries to relate to me or make the effort to suggest we get together. It is so uncomfortable now. I started off the morning with my pill stack, Xenergy and writing her a tomb of a letter of all the things I love about her and favorite memories. Of course, as soon as I sent it, I thought of a million other memories. Bitter sweet. I called her when I got home from the gym- she said it made her cry! That was a hard conversation. But I'm jumping ahead, and don't want to get into personal family stuff!

So I don't know if my stomach was upset, or the combo of the Xenergy/pills upset me today, but I felt SO NAUSEOUS! Dizzy, heat, nauseous. I tried to throw up but couldn't. Went to the gym and had a decent workout-  reflecting on my mom, memories and taking notes on things I want to tell her (about how I see her now, how she masked her insecurities and how alone she must have felt when her and my dad moved here alone- how I have gained an understanding of her etc) and I also listened to Jordan Spark's 'Battlefield' and Chris Brown's 'Women Lie' (love this song) while staring at the BULLET EXPRESS infomercial!! LOVE it!

Called my mom when I got home and made my lunch:
- 125g egg whites
-sweet and low/cinnamon

- Isoflex Allmax Vanilla Isolate Protein
-cinnamon, sweet and low:

AND
- 869g Celery (I added more after picture)
-350g Cauliflower (microwaved to death with soy sauce)
-300g Mushrooms
I forgot to mention yesterday I hit up my usual Grocery haunts
(Superstore, Walmart, Costco Safeway).
Checkout my Mushrooms!
This is about 1/16 (not kidding) of my groceries. The rest were in FOURTEEN 14 BAGS
