Blueberry Pie in a blender and trip home...

I am sitting here devouring serving number 2 of my AMAZING Vanilla Blueberry Protein Ice Cream with GG Scandinavian Bran Sprinkles on top, and marvelling how much this tastes like Blueberry Pie- especially with the GG Sprinkles on top!

In the mix (or 'blend'):
-1 packet (split into 1/2 to make 2 shakes) of Vanilla Protilife or Vanilla Whey Isolate Protein Powder
-4 packets of Sweet and Low
-Ice
-60g GG Scandinavian Bran Sprinkles (split between the 2 shakes)

SO GOOD!!! I think a TB of sour cream or cottage cheese/cream cheese/yogurt would've added that cheese cake flavour! Or ricotta!!!

I have a big day ahead of me and want to get a head start. And by BIG- I mean some grocery shopping and then returning to my parent's house to keep my dad company and spend the night(after not being there for Y-E-A-R-S). Stressed much?? YES.

Yesterday, I devoured 4 mini La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber wraps in the parking lots of a hotel post business conference, with some Wild Garden Hummus (Roasted Red Pepper) and I have to say... DAMN. I forgot how soft and amazing those wraps are! The Hummus was pretty good too- not as authentic tasting as 'real' hummus (which I grew up eating) but really good nevertheless!

Here are the La Tortilla Factory Low Carb/High Fiber Stats:

Here is the Wild Garden Hummus:

The point of this post? Preparedness!
'Things did not go as I had planned yesterday; I was hungry after a 3hr info seminar- and cranky! Those Tortilla's and Hummus were actually a 'gift' for a family member (who graciously let me eat some). I was off my game. I normally eat at home- where I have all of 'my' foods etc. We all know tips for taking snacks with us etc, but it's amazing how sometimes you forget. Those wraps/hummus saved me (besides literally drinking ALL of the Business Seminar's coffee), although I was still hungry ( and still cranky).

So, in PREPARATION for my 1 night stay, I have literally packed 1/2 my fridge, pantry and have 4 huge bags...... Contingency plans should never be over-looked!
We are watching 'THE BLIND SIDE' and I can't wait for my dad to watch it. I'll also be working out @ the World Health Club by there place in the morning. Learning to adapt, and not 'catastophize' is something I truly need practice in. I am a creature of habit, routine (as long as it's my routine) and comfort.

Chocolate Brownie Batter

After a wicked 70min elliptical session (7.62miles!) and a wonderful dessert breakfast of my Protein Fiber Pudding, I headed out to go meet my dad! I won't go into details, but it was so nice. I am so grateful to have the family (flawed as they are) that I have. This is the man that has raised me, carried me on his shoulders (while I clutched his eyes in terror), who introduced me to the wonders of lego and climbing trees, who endlessly recounted stories from his childhood over and over- even after he had just finished telling me the same story minutes before. This is the man I waited for every day after school, waiting for him to round the corner on his way home from work, the man who I have admired and looked up to, the man I have strived most to impress and gain acceptance and validation from. I have always felt that if I have my dad in my corner- on my side and agreeing with me, then ALL is right in the world. I guess I will forever be Daddy's little girl. I am infinitely grateful for him and only hope that I can make him proud. I am so lucky and grateful.

Another thing that I am grateful and appreciative for (and has also helped me in my times of need) is my Chocolate Brownie Batter (vegan?). Lame segue? Yes,it's bad, but this my friends, is SO GOOD:

Chocolate Brownie Batter
-Davinci Sugar Free Syrup (From Coconut to Toasted Marshmallow, Cookie Dough)
-Sweetener (sweet and low)
I use anywhere from 4-8 scoops and make sure it's thick!

STIR STIR STIR... I kid you not- this tastes JUST like Brownie Batter. Especially if you use SF Pancake Syrup- the following syrups work well!
-Vermont

This seriously is one of my all time favorite products! You HAVE to try this!!

For a pimped out Protein Version add a scoop of Chocolate Protein powder to the 'batter'.
-Adding Cocoa is also good!

Everybody in Love and seeing my dad....

Seeing my dad today.... So nervous. I look like DEATH and am so worried about him. I've been so stressed!!! Keep me in your thoughts!

I've been LOVING this song- listen to it and don't tell me it's not catchy! Gotta love those Brit Boys! lol:

On a humorous note, I totally forgot to add this to my Saturday/Weekend Shindigs! This was parked infront of COSTCO (mouth-watering, No?):
And these are also Monday's EGG-Cakes! The yellow? Honey mustard! It was so good!
-egg whites
-psyllium
-sweet and low
-cinnamon

Believe nothing, no matter where you read it, or who said it, no matter if I have said it, unless it agrees with your own reason and your own common sense.

Cookie Dough and a Prayer please

I try to be as open and honest on this blog as I can. I often feel to overwhelmed to type out my feelings after dealing with them all day. I have mentioned that I have a strained relationship with my family, and it BREAKS MY HEART. We are so distant now, that listening to voice messages from them causes me to cry. I don't talk to my baby sister as much due to anxiety. My family is the most important thing to me- which is why they have such an impact on me emotionally.  I don't like to bring 'their' stuff up in this blog, but I need to ask you guys for help. My dad IS NOT doing well, and I am so worried that I am literally in tears right now and can hardly breathe. He got laid off from his job after 27+ years and is so discouraged and depressed, that it is breaking my heart. He has lost his sense of value, self, his identity, confidence etc. You should hear him on the phone. He sounds so DEAD. I wish I could do more. He has been applying for jobs non stop- and nothing. He feels like he has been thrown away. This man is the most important person in my life. I have no words to express my love. Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers. My sister is graduating high school, my mom is sick and frustrated, my dad is frustrated and discouraged and lost. They are hurting so much. I so want him to find a job. It would do so much in restoring his sense of SELF respect/confidence and identity. He feels WORTHLESS and that is the worst feeling in the world. Please, from the bottom of my heart- pray for him, my family, and for me as well.

On to this mornings amazing 'COOKIE DOUGH' Batter!
You can adjust the amounts and use a lot more. Unfortunately as I was scooping/weighing (or whey-ing ha ha) this in front of my gym locker at the gym, the snooty ladies walked in so I stopped and packed up- other wise I would have had more.

- 15g Isoflex Vanilla Isolate (by Allmax)- I wanted to grab 1-1.5scoops but they walked in.
- 24g Fiber Smart (Renew Life)
- 2 packets of Sweet and Low
- Davinci Gourmet Sugar Free Coconut Syrup (as much as you want- this is all I used for the liquid. Add more as the Fiber Smart swells)

STIR and let thicken:
